Dear Readers,
Welcome to my AI Motifs! I'm thrilled to have you join me as we experience the latest revolutionary advancements and breakthroughs in artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, large language models, robotics, quantum computing, and many others. I aim to keep writing about:
my technology and business projects,
work experiences, and
the book I’m working on issues related to ethical and responsible uses of cutting-edge technologies, upcoming regulatory changes, and global challenges.
My activities focus on developing insight into how AI impacts enterprises, startups building new products, and the scientific community.
My books and resources…
Many of my professional activities center on the business and technical sides of deep learning, knowledge management, data engineering, and natural language processing. I was fortunate to apply my skills in many business areas ranging from the construction industry, ESG, fin-tech, med-tech, and biotech to robotics, game design, education, and instructional design. As a result, I will cover a wide range of topics directly applicable to challenges around the organizational adoption of AI in enterprise environments and startup organizations.

My experience includes over a decade of practice in business development consulting and solution development, AI applications, analytics, data engineering on enterprise platforms, content development, and legal advisory for IP management. I aim to provide strategic guidance and support to technology companies looking to grow their businesses, identify new business opportunities and ROIs, build relationships with key stakeholders, and solutioning with state-of-the-art technologies. Over the years, I developed an understanding of the high-tech industry, enterprise application landscape, emerging technologies, and long-term direction for innovation. Effective navigation of complex business environments to drive success requires technical expertise, strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, allowing effective collaboration with executives, clients, sales teams, and other stakeholders.
I was privileged to work on research projects with renowned scientists who contributed significantly to statistical mechanics, physical chemistry, and artificial intelligence. After completing my Ph.D., which focused on natural language processing and modeling high-dimensional data sets, I worked on several postdoctoral R&D with the University of Chicago and Caltech scientists on using AI-driven simulations to study dynamic systems, statistical mechanics research problems, and foundations of the behavior of biological systems. This work led to the development of new methods to analyze large datasets generated through experiments or simulations and extract meaningful information for visual simulations. Later, I continued my research in statistical mechanics and physical chemistry by designing a computational platform for automating research processes and building synthetic data sets. This approach allows for flexibility in building machine learning models inspired by methodologies used by physical chemists.
My books and resources cont.
One of my interests is computer graphics combined with architectural design. This allowed me to contribute to developing metaverse and virtual reality platforms for instructional and educational purposes. During my Ph.D. studies, I discovered the potential of 3D engines and virtual world development tools that can revolutionize how people interact with a learning platform at school, in professional training, or business contexts. This experience made me one of the first researchers to build a games development degree program focusing on practical applications of 3D spaces, interactive systems, and metaverse technology. In addition, I dedicated many research publications to advancing human-computer interaction, natural language processing, large language models (LLM), and interactive design as a platform for ed-tech and edutainment. Additionally, my activities in the scientific field include public speaking on technology, reviewing papers and books on AI and blockchain, and advising.
Throughout my academic and professional career, I have developed innovative robotic systems and improved their integration with other technologies, including PLC and CNC machines. Working with cyber-physical systems is an important task given that we are experiencing a transformation in manufacturing around the Industry 4.0 concepts. I have been the founding team member that pioneered a robotics research lab that supported research into autonomous systems and drones. I also established a flight school that prepares students to fly drones, service the subsystems and adhere to regulations. Building and flying models is a hobby of mine, including rocketry modeling. My expertise in robotic system integration has led to various projects, including developing robots equipped with vision and sensor AI for industrial and commercial applications. Integrating cyber-physical systems with artificial intelligence planning algorithms and machine learning technologies is one of the most critical areas in our current economic climate.

Much of my professional life centers on higher education and administrative leadership. As a curriculum developer and a scientist, I had the privilege to serve as department chair and founding member for several degree programs in computer science, robotics, video game development, and computer networking. With over 20 years of experience in higher education, I oversaw several administrative operations of academic units. Under my leadership and as a principal investigator, my departments received multi-million dollar infrastructure, curricula, and student support grants. I am passionate about teaching, sharing knowledge, and instructional design in several areas of physics, computer graphics, object-oriented programming, and many others. In addition to teaching duties, I serve as an advisor to computer science and technology organizations and actively mentors STEM students inside and outside the classroom.
